Sacajawea Families, we are so excited to see you this Saturday, October 30th, starting at 10:00 a.m. We are hoping for great weather.
This will take place on our Kinder-1st Grade Playground and backfield.

The Spooky Skyhawk Fun Run will begin at 11:00 a.m starting with our Pre-K and Kinder kids in the first group.

- 1st -2nd: 11:15 a.m
- 3rd-4th: 11:30 a.m
- 5th and Middle: 11:45 a.m
Bikes will not be given as prizes this year, we do apologize for this.

SAC Staff present at Counseling State Conference
Sacajawea Elementary's counselor, Baylie Bunn, will be presenting at the Idaho School Counseling Association's state conference alongside Community School Coordinator, Hortensia Hernandez this week. The theme for the 2021 state conference is "Stronger Together: Uniting our Strengths for All Students" with the goal to help mental health professionals from around the state to unite our strengths to advocate for and empower the mental health and wellness of Idaho K-12 students. Mrs.Bunn and Mrs. Hernandez will discuss how the partnership between school counselors and the community school model provides the opportunity to support students and families far beyond their social emotional well-being, both in and out of the classroom.

El personal de SAC presente en la Conferencia Estatal de Consejería.
La consejera de la Escuela Sacajawea, Baylie Bunn, se presentará en la conferencia estatal de la Asociación de Consejería Escolar de Idaho junto con la Coordinadora de Recursos Comunitarios, Hortensia Hernandez esta semana. El tema de la conferencia estatal de 2021 es "Juntos más Fuertes: Uniendo nuestras fortalezas para todos los estudiantes" con el objetivo de ayudar a los profesionales de la salud mental de todo el estado a unir nuestras fortalezas para defender y potenciar la salud mental y el bienestar de los estudiantes del K-12 en Idaho. La Sra. Bunn y la Sra. Hernández hablarán sobre cómo la asociación entre los consejeros escolares y el modelo de escuela comunitaria brinda la oportunidad de apoyar a los estudiantes y las familias más allá de su bienestar social y emocional, tanto dentro como fuera del salón de clases.

Love and Logic Classes- Register Today!
Sacajawea Parents,
Sacajawea will be hosting Love and Logic classes starting next week. Love and Logic is a six week program that is designed to help parents equip kids with character, compassion, problem solving skills and more.
There are still spots available to sign up.
There will be six classes all on Monday evenings. Here are some more details

Internet Assistance - Emergency Broadband Benefit- Learn More! // Asistencia de internet Beneficio de banda ancha de emergencia: ¡Obtenga más información!
Sacajawea Families, there is currently an assistance program to help families with the cost of internet service in their homes. The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households.
Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
These are some of the initial qualifiers for the program:
- A household is eligible if a member of the household meets one of the criteria below:
- Has an income that is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, or Lifeline;
- Approved to receive benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision in the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 school year;
- Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year;
- Experienced a substantial loss of income due to job loss or furlough since February 29, 2020 and the household had a total income in 2020 at or below $99,000 for single filers and $198,000 for joint filers; or
- Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider's existing low-income or COVID-19 program.

Familias Sacajawea, actualmente existe un programa de asistencia para ayudar a las familias con el costo del servicio de Internet en sus hogares. El beneficio de banda ancha de emergencia es un programa de la FCC para ayudar a las familias y hogares que luchan por pagar el servicio de Internet durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Mask Requirement - Indoors - Starting Tomorrow (9/1) for All Staff and Students --- Requisito de máscaras- Interior- A partir de mañana (9/1) para todo el personal y estudiantes
- Please do not send your children to school if they are sick or have been exposed to a COVID positive individual or family member;
- If your child is waiting on a COVID test result, please do not send them to school;
