Sacajawea's 4th Grade and Orchestra Enjoy a Concert!

On Tuesday, February 27th, the Sacajawea orchestra and fourth grade classes had the opportunity to attend the "Children's Concert", given by the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra. Students got to hear six difference selections from around the world that represented the "dance style". The concert was a great event for our students.

El martes, 27 de febrero, la orquesta de Sacajawea y las clases de cuarto grado tuvieron la oportunidad de atender el “Concierto de Niños” presentado por la Orquesta Filarmónica de Boise. Los estudiantes escucharon seis diferentes selecciones de todo el mundo que representan “estilos de baile”. El concierto fue un gran evento para nuestros estudiantes.

Orchestra in The Hall - It's Christmas at Sacajawea

One of the joys of the Christmas season for me is seeing our 5th grade orchestra play in the halls at Sacajawea. We are so proud of our kids. It makes it even more fun that it is such an unconventional venue, the convergence of 3 halls in front of the office, with the audience packed in on the floor. Thanks Mrs. Rosandick and our orchestra students.

Orchestra Demonstration - Fall 2013

One great opportunity for kids at Sacajawea is the chance for 5th graders to take orchestra. Our 5th grade orchestra, under the direction of Mrs. Rosandick and Mrs. Rosen held a demonstration yesterday to show their parents how much they have improved. They also showed and explained proper techniques for practice and performance.
