Caldwell Students Matter - Please Vote on Tuesday, May 17th

The Caldwell School  District has a supplemental levy election to be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. This levy would generate $2,500,000 per year for the next two years: 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years. This is not a new levy. It is replacing a current levy that will expire on June 30th.

This supplemental levy will NOT create new taxes and will NOT increase your taxes.

Why is the levy needed?
  • Despite this year's state revenue increase, the supplemental levy is still critical to the district's financial stability and meeting the needs of all our students.
  • Based on the 2014-2015 report, the dollar amount spent per student for Caldwell School District students is among the lowest in the State.
  • Caldwell ranks 98 on per pupil expenditure out of 115 districts. Without the community support of the supplemental levy for our students, Caldwell would rank 111.

Please review this flyer for more information (LINK).

Find your polling place at THIS LINK.
  • What time are polls open? Voting is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on May 17th.
  • What if I am not registered to vote?  There is election day registration in your correct precinct, based on your address, with picture ID and proof of current address.
  • Who can register to vote? Anyone who is a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, and has lived in the city, county or state for 30 days.
We appreciate the support of the Caldwell community, which makes it possible for us to offer so many programs to create opportunities for our students.

Caldwell students matter!  Please don't forget to vote on Tuesday.
