At Sacajawea, 4th graders dove into their Animal Defense Mechanisms Unit through a hands-on dissection lab this week. Students were trained on appropriate lab safety and learned about animal organ structures and functions. Using squid, they were able to identify each structure and function, as well as have some extra time to use scientific inquiry to explore their species!
Thank you to Syringa Middle School for loaning us the dissection equipment and tools!
