Americorps is more like a Peace Corps service position vs a typical job. Service members receive a living stipend of about $12,630 per year, plus, if they complete the whole service year, they receive about $5800 as an education stipend that they can use to pay tuition at a variety of institutions or can be used to pay student loans. **Stipends may be prorated, if less than 11 months is served.
The positions are both full time (40 hours per week). We are seeking to fill these positions ASAP.
An ideal candidate might be a strong high school grad who is taking a gap year or is gathering resources for college. Alternately, they could be a retired person who doesn't need the living stipend or the education stipend, but wants to pass it to their kids. It is an 11 month work agreement and there are certain extra pieces. Linked is a FAQ. Pass it on if you know someone who would be a great fit.
