The items in the attached photos will be donated at the end of the day tomorrow (2/1). These items have been in lost and found since before winter break. Mrs. Brown has everything sitting INSIDE the computer lab today and tomorrow, so if kids want to claim something, they need to come IN to the computer lab.
Thank you!

World Read Aloud Day - Feb 1, 2019
We are looking forward to marking World Read Aloud Day this Friday in a pretty obvious way. Mrs. Olsen and I (Mr. Webster) will be reading in a number of classes this Thursday and Friday.
I've gathered together a pile of old favorites and maybe new favorites. I've got my eye out for a few more. There are so many great ones.
When our three daughters were younger, we read 3 stories out loud every night. Great stories (and a few duds). Great memories.
Read aloud with your kids, or have them read aloud to you. It matters.

Sacajawea Students Receive the Gift of Giving!
Last week, Sacajawea’s PTO put on the annual Santa’s Workshop event. Each student was able to purchase two gifts for 25 cents each (money is supplied to those without money so all get to participate) to give to a family member or someone special. It is a thrill to see the delight on the students’ faces as they pick out the gifts! Thank you to Cole Valley Christian School and others for collecting donations for this project. Thank you to Destiny Calderwood for heading it up. Thanks also to the many volunteers. There were family members, former employees, community volunteers, and even a former Sacajawea family. It warmed our hearts seeing so many people willing to volunteer to bring this joy to our students.

Christmas Letters to Service Members
The students in the Caldwell School District in Idaho (Including 4 classes at Sacajawea - Vrooman, Prall, Cataline, and Washburn) decided that they wanted to send personal thank you's to the troops for serving during this Christmas season.
The USO Northwest was able to get the cards and hard them out to the Soldiers and Airman on JBLM before Christmas. A set of our letters also went to US service members on the east coast.
Some of the pics are posted in this Flicker Album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmvyCaxn
