PTO Meeting

Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016
6pm – 7pm

Please join us for the first PTO meeting of the 2016-2017 school year. We'll meet outdoors under the tree near the Kindergarten playground at the school. Bring lawn chairs! Children are welcome to come and play at the playground while the parents and teachers meet. Please share with anyone who may be interested in attending. See you there!

Yotes Football Players Read to Sac Students

Purple was the color of the day on Wednesday as staff and students wore purple in honor of the visitors that were coming to Sac. Football players from the College of Idaho visited each of the classrooms and spent time interacting with the students. They read stories, helped children with their school work, answered questions, and one of them even showed off their dance moves.

Registration - This Wednesday, August 3rd - 7AM to 6PM

Registration for ALL (new and returning) elementary students will be on Wednesday, August 3rd at Sacajawea.  A parent must be present to sign papers.

Registration will be open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3rd.

New students to Sacajawea should bring the following:
1) Proof of address (a current utility bill or lease agreement)
2) Official Birth Certificate
3) Immunization Records

If your child is returning to Sacajawea, we will just check your contact information quickly and get you the information you need.

We look forward to seeing all of you, as we prepare for school to begin on August 17th.

La inscripción para TODOS estudiantes (nuevos y que regresan) será el Miercoles 3 de agosto a las Sacajawea. Los padres deben estar presentes para firmar los papeles.

La inscripción estará de 7:00 am a 6:00 pm el 3 de agosto.

Los nuevos estudiantes a Sacajawea deben traer lo siguiente:

1) Comprobante de domicilio (una cuenta de utilidad o un contrato de arrendamiento )

2) Certificado oficial de Nacimiento

3) Cartilla de Vacunación

Si su hijo está devolviendo a la escuela, nosotros apenas revisar su información de contacto de forma rápida y le proporcionará la información que necesita.

Esperamos verlos a todos ustedes, mientras nos preparamos para la escuela para comenzar el 17 de agosto.

Friend of Education Award

Each year Caldwell Education Association Members, in their school buildings, nominate and select a Friend of Education. These folks are volunteers, who devote much to their schools. and or the education community as a whole, and have made an impact in some way. They are then able to be sent forward, from their local to the region and the state level, to be further recognized and finally could achieve national honors.
Sacajawea had two honorees this year, who have greatly contributed to the PTO, helped with our carnival, volunteered in classrooms, popped popcorn and put in countless other hours behind the scenes to do great things for the benefit of our school community. We are very pleased to have honored Kelly Harper and Esmeralda Fine for all that they have done this year!

Talent Abounds at Sac

Sacajawea students and staff celebrated the end of the year with a fantastic talent show. Thanks to Miss Chavarria's hard work and guidance students had a chance to show off their special talents. A great time was had by all.

KInder Students Get a Taste of 1st Grade

Mrs. Campbell's Kindergarten class came to visit Mrs. Saunders' class to see what next year will be like. Mrs. Campbell read the students a story. After that, Mrs. Saunders' class read stories to the Kindergarten students. Both sets of students enjoyed popsicles.
