With many new families joining us at Sacajawea this year, we thought it would be helpful to use pictures to show what is allowed in our Caldwell School District dress code. Hopefully this helps.
The official policy #509 can be found at this document and is summarized in our handbook on page 13.

Registration - We love our Sacajawea Families
It was so much fun to see all of our Sacajawea families back for registration last Friday. We love our students and families. That is why we work so hard to make our school one of the best places to learn in Idaho.
Although it was a long day for those of us who worked and volunteered, I think all of us went home with a smile on our faces.
If you missed registration on Friday the 8th, you can come in today. We are open in the office from about 8:00 AM through 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Here are more pictures from our registration day.

School Clothes Swap - Sale - Looking for Volunteer Organizers
Sacajawea Parents and Community -
The Sacajawea PTO and I have brainstormed a great idea but we are looking for some key volunteers to organize it.
We know that many of you have school uniform clothes that your kids have grown out of. We'd like to get those into the hands of families who can use them this next year. I know I have 3 kids of my own and love to pass on their lightly used clothes to kids who can wear them for school.
If we can get enough interested parents and a handful of volunteers to organize this, we'd like to have a school clothes swap/sale during the week of 8/11 to 15.
This could make affordable dress code compliant clothes available and would also serve as a little fund raiser for our school's PTO which creates all kinds of extra opportunities for our kids.
Please email me back if you are interested in helping get this organized or if you would just like to participate in the sale/swap. The school staff will be working hard that week to get ready for school, so we won't be able to help much with organization.
Thanks
Paul Webster

gracias
Paul Webster

SAC Student Council Scholarship Award
On Tuesday, May 6t, the Sacajawea Student Council attended the Caldwell High School Scholarship Assembly. The Student Council was in attendance in order to present a scholarship to a Sacajawea Alumni.
Throughout the year, students have been selling jerky at lunch, and selling pencils through a pencil dispenser in the cafeteria, in order to earn money for this scholarship. Through these efforts, they were able to present a $250 to Calley Ames. Calley is an alumni of Sacajawea, and was selected by the student leadership team (President, Vice President, and Secretary) from a number of applicants.
The Student Council stood proudly on the CHS stage in front of the entire junior and senior class, as Callie Mae White gave a short speech to announce the recipient. This was a fabulous experience for the students, and they received a warm welcome from the audience. We are very proud of all of them and thankful they had this exciting opportunity.
