Day 1 of Hybrid Learning at Sacajawea

A Kindergarten Picnic Lunch

So proud of our kids, families, and teachers, as we return for day 1 of hybrid learning.  What a joy to have our kids back in our classes, although in smaller groups.  There are lots of ways to maintain distance and still build community and learning opportunities.  We know this isn't easy.  Thanks for being creative.  Thanks for persevering.  Keep up the hard work at home and at school.  Together, we can do this!

Level Yellow Schedule - Starts Mon 9/28 -- Horario de Nivel Amarillo - Comienza Lunes 9/28

We are excited to have kids return to classes half day, starting next week for “Hybrid Learning.”  Students will spend 3 hours in the classroom with small groups (50% of the class).  Students will still need to work at home for 1 to 2 hours per day, and will still do digital learning from home all day on Wednesdays.

 Kids will attend half day sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, starting on Monday 9/28.  ***Each family should receive a text, email, and auto-dialer with information about the sessions for your kids.

 Some schedule parameters.

 AM Sessions:

• Students should not arrive on campus until 8:20 AM.
• 8:20 - Students arrive and go to their playground, by grade.  
• 8:25 - Line up at assigned location, by class.
• 8:30-11:30 Class
• All students will be served breakfast in class.
• Lunches will be delivered to bring home.
• 11:30 - Classes excused to buses and pickup in normal locations.

 

PM Sessions:

• Students should not arrive on campus until 12:50 PM.
• 12:50 - Students arrive and go to their playground, by grade.  
• 12:55 - Line up at assigned location, by class.
• 1:00-4:00 Class
• All students will be served lunch in class.
• Breakfast for the next day will be delivered to bring home.
• 4:00 - Classes excused to buses and pickup in normal locations.

 Supplies:

All students need to bring their Chromebook or i-Pad to school and back each day, as we will use them.  Don’t forget the charger.

Also, check with your teachers about essential supplies you should bring.

Changes in Transportation Plans: If you have a change in plans for how your child will get home please call (208-455-3333) plenty ahead of time  or email aruano@caldwellschools.org and/or hlopez@caldwellschools.org.

Estamos emocionados de que los niños regresen a clases de medio día la próxima semana para "Aprendizaje híbrido". Los estudiantes pasarán 3 horas en la clase con grupos pequeños (50% de la clase). Los estudiantes todavía tendrán que trabajar en casa durante 1 a 2 horas por día, y todavía harán aprendizaje digital desde casa todo el día los miércoles.

Utiles:

Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene Donates face masks for the Students of Sacajawea Elementary --- La Iglesia del Nazareno de Canyon Hill dona mascarillas para los estudiantes de Sacajawea

 

Sacajawea Elementary would like to thank Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene for the donation of over 500 face masks for the students here at Sacajawea! 

Canyon Hill Church of the Nazarene has been an amazing partner in our community school efforts for over 3 years now!

Sacajawea and its families are so fortunate for all the support! We are surrounded by so many wonderful community members and organizations!

We are excited to have our kiddos back in the classroom!

SAC Meet The Teacher and Device Pickup - 8/25 PM -- Sac Conozca a su Maestra y recogida de dispositivo

 

Device Pick up:

We look forward to seeing you at our meet the teacher event tomorrow.  All students should be scheduled to meet with their homeroom teachers with an individual appointment.  They likely have contacted you already.  We will meet outdoors at the school. During your meet the teacher appointment you will also pick up your device for online learning at home as well as some other materials for learning, depending on your grade.

If you haven’t heard from your teacher yet to make an appointment, please check on Skyward Family Access [Link] to see who your teacher is, and to send an email.

Caldwell Online Academy:

Students signed up to do school through the online academy won’t need to meet their teacher, but you will need to pick up your student device to access COA classes.  The COA pickup time will be tomorrow 8/25 from 2PM to 7PM on the kinder/1st grade playground, near the doors to the music room and cafeteria.

Recogida del dispositivo:

Esperamos verte mañana en nuestro evento Meet the Teacher. Todos los estudiantes deben programar una reunión con sus maestros de salón con una cita individual. Probablemente ya te han contactado. Nos reuniremos al aire libre en la escuela. Durante su cita con el maestro, también recogerá su dispositivo para el aprendizaje en línea en casa, así como algunos otros materiales para el aprendizaje, según su grado.

Si aún no ha recibido noticias de su maestro para programar una cita, consulte en Skyward (LIGA) Family Access a ver su maestro y mandar un correo electronico. 

Academia en línea Caldwell (COA):

Los estudiantes que se inscribieron para asistir a la escuela a través de la academia en línea no necesitarán reunirse con su maestro, pero deberá recoger su dispositivo de estudiante para acceder a las clases de COA. La hora de recogida del COA será mañana 25/8 de 2PM a 7PM en el patio de recreo de kinder / 1er grado, cerca de las puertas del salón de música y la cafetería.
