A Special Visit from K-9 Miller

After spending the week learning about police officers and their K-9 partners the third graders were so excited to meet Officer Fisher and his K-9 partner, Miller, in person.

Sacajawea's Trunk or Treat 2019 - 10/26 from 10AM to 12PM

Sacajawea families, join us for a fun-filled morning of treats, goblins, princesses and so much more at Sacajawea’s annual Trunk or Treat. The fun begins at 10:00 a.m on Saturday 10/26 at Sacajawea’s west side parking lot (on Illinois Ave). We have so many community partners providing fun trunks and sweet treats! There will also be Spooky STEM stations for our mad scientist! Right at 11:00 a.m we will have our 1st race for the Spooky Skyhawk Fun Run. A boy and a girl winner for each race will receive a new bike! Southwest District Health will be providing flu shots! Sacajawea Trunk or Treat 2019

Familias de Sacajawea, únanse a nosotros para una mañana llena de diversión, de golosinas, duendes, princesas y mucho más en el anual Trunk or Treat de Sacajawea. La diversión comienza a las 10: 00 am el Sabado 10/26 en el estacionamiento del lado oeste (Illinois Ave). ¡Tenemos tantos organizaciones de la comunidad que ofrecen baúles divertidos y dulces! ¡También habrá estaciones de Spooky STEM para nuestro científico loco! Justo a las 11:00 am tendremos nuestra primera carrera para Spooky Skyhawk Fun Run. ¡Los niños y niñas ganadores de cada carrera recibirán una bicicleta nueva! ¡Southwest District Health proporcionará vacunas contra la gripe! Quédate hasta el final para descubrir quién gana nuestro concurso de disfraces, ¡no te lo querrás perder!

Sacajawea Shirts and Hoodies

It's that time of year to show off your Sacajawea school spirit and order one of our new shirts or hoodies. All clothing is offered in youth and adult sizes.

The website to place your order will be open until November 4th. It will then take 10-14 days for the shirts to be made and delivered to the school. Sacajawea's Reading Harvest Night

Thanks to our amazing families, hard-working CHS volunteers, Caldwell Firefighters and our dedicated staff our Reading Harvest Night was a successful evening enjoyed by many. Families heard stories, watched a puppet show, and played many different reading games. We were also lucky to have Clifford pay us a special visit and take photos with many smiling children. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this fantastic night.

Sacajawea’s Students Enjoy a Puppet Show!

 Caxton Printers sponsored Sacajawea’s second and third grade students’ attendance at “Legends of Coyote” at Jewitt Auditorium.  This puppet show had stories of trickster coyote getting into all kinds of silly situations.  The students laughed so much.  Thank you Caxton Printers for providing this wonderful opportunity to our students!

Last week, the Caldwell Rotary Club gave new books to all of the second grade students at Sacajawea Elementary School. Each student got a book based on his or her interests.The students were so excited to get the books and their faces just glowed when they received them.  Thanks again to the Caldwell Rotary Club for getting a book in the hands of each of our second graders!

¡Gracias al Rotary Club de Caldwell!

La semana pasada, el Rotary Club de Caldwell entregó nuevos libros a todos los estudiantes de segundo grado de la Escuela Primaria Sacajawea. Cada estudiante tiene un libro basado en sus intereses. Los estudiantes estaban tan emocionados de conseguir los libros que sus rostros se iluminaron cuando los recibieron. ¡Gracias de nuevo al Rotary Club de Caldwell por poner un libro en manos de cada uno de nuestros estudiantes de segundo grado!

Let’s walk to school!

October 2nd is Walk to School Day and we would like to invite all of our students that are able to walk or bike to school, to do just that!

Mrs. Hernandez, along with other volunteers will be waiting for all of our walkers and bikers out in three central locations, helping them celebrate Walk to School Day. The three locations will be the front of the school, the bike rack area and the Kinder and 1st playground. Each student that checks in with either Mrs. Hernandez or our volunteers will get a chance to win a bike!

¡Caminemos a la escuela!


El 2 de octubre es el Día de Caminar a la Escuela y nos gustaría invitar a todos nuestros estudiantes que puedan caminar o andar en bicicleta a la escuela, ¡que lo hagan!

La Sra. Hernández, junto con otros voluntarios, estarán esperando a todos nuestros caminantes y ciclistas en tres lugares centrales, ayudándolos a celebrar el Día de Caminar a la Escuela. Los tres lugares serán el frente de la escuela, el área del portabicicletas y el patio de juegos de Kinder y primer grado. ¡Cada estudiante que se registre con la Sra. Hernández o con nuestros voluntarios tendrá la oportunidad de ganar una bicicleta!

Espero ver muchas caras felices mañana por la mañana!
