We had some mixed up messages with our notes and the first blog posts about which Kg Kids attend tomorrow. It was rather a train wreck of communication. I'm sorry.
The Correct Message: AM Kindergarten is to come to school Tomorrow, Monday May 22nd until 1:20pm.
PM Kinder stays home.
I'm sorry for the mixed up communication. ~~Mr. Webster

Peacemaker Appreciation Breakfast
Sacajawea Elementary Student Council members wanted to host an appreciation breakfast to honor local law enforcement as their final service project for the year, so that's just what they did! They worked diligently visiting businesses in the community to collect donations, create handmade invitations, and decorate and prepare the food.
Their inspiration for this project came last November after BPD Officer Kevin Holtry was shot in the line of duty. The students wanted to find a way to show their appreciation for law enforcement and ultimately planned, voted on, and pulled together the breakfast.
Student Council President, Maycee Hurd, prepared a welcoming speech and wrote a "big book" about police officers that she read alongside Representative Shyann. The breakfast was not only an opportunity for students to give "Star Compliments" and letters to officers, but also an opportunity to eat breakfast together, play soccer and get to know our local officers better.
Student Council would also like to extend a huge thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make this breakfast possible:
-Idaho Tractor Inc. (Nampa)
-M & W (Parma)
-Rise & Shine Bakery (Nampa)
-Mrs. Olsen
-Mr. & Mrs. C
-Noelia Hernandez

A Cinco De Mayo Celebration
Staff and students enjoyed Cinco De Mayo by listening to beautiful music from the very talented Mariachi Sol de Acapulco. A few lucky students had the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays by dancing with the musicians.
