Kindergarten had a special treat for moms to celebrate Mother's Day. We walked to Luby Park for Moms and Muffins on Friday, May 6th. At the park we enjoyed muffins and juice and also sang a song for the moms who came. The students also handed out Mother's Day gifts. On our way back to the school we decided to put our Taking Care of Earth unit into action and picked up trash. Wow, was there a lot of trash! Our new motto in Kindergarten is "Trash Stinks! Pick it up!" Visitors can look at the trash we found in the playground hanging in the hall outside of the Kindergarten classrooms.
