SAC Library Is Full of Life This Summer

Thanks to the families and students who have joined us at the Sacajawea Library this summer.  Remember, we are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 to 1:00. Here are a few of the highlights.  There is more fun learning to come.

Book And A Bite Today - Sacajawea - 11:30 to 1:00

I'm looking forward to reading with kids and families at "Book and a Bite" today from 11:30 to 1:00 in front of Sacajawea.

Canyon Hill Community Garden: Join us for Gardening Classes! ~ Acompáñanos a la clase de jardineria

Canyon Hill Community Garden is hosting a gardening class for adults this Saturday (Tomorrow - June 16) from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
The theme for this class will be Vegetable Gardening 101.
The class is for anyone who would like to attend, from beginner gardener to the experts.

More Information on Summer Activities at Sacajawea!

Here is an updated version of the flyer on the Summer Reading Program at Sacajawea.  The flyer includes a link for information on sites for the Oasis Summer Feeding Program.  Also, please remember the “Book and a Bite” program will be on Tuesdays, June 12 to August 7th, from 11:30-1pm.  We hope everyone has a wonderful summer!

Come Enjoy Your School Library This Summer!

Sacajawea Elementary is one of the school libraries that will be open this summer.  It will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through July 26^th from 9am to 1pm (with the exception of July 4^th).  There will be story time, STEM activities, and the ability to earn free books!  You can also enjoy the summer feeding program at Sacajawea weekdays, now through August 17th from 12-1pm.

Sacajawea’s Second Grade Swimmers

In early May, Sacajawea’s second grade students had the opportunity to receive free swimming lessons!  The Caldwell YMCA received a grant to provide this opportunity to all 2nd grade students in the district.  The students went daily for two weeks to an hour long class that included swimming lessons at their level and information on water safety.  Thank you to the Caldwell YMCA for providing this opportunity to our students!
