Fifth Graders Experience College Life

Thanks to a grant written by Stephanie Carpenter, Special Education Director, fifth-grade students at Sac were able to visit Boise State University and take a tour of the campus.  Here are some of the fun and educational things they were able to take part in and visit:
  • Student Union Building
  • Took part in science experiments by developing theories for outcomes of the experiments and then checked to see if the theories were correct
  • Rec Center
  • Ate lunch at the SUB (Boise River Cafe)
  • Visited dorms
  • Played games
  • Walked to Albertson's Stadium and saw the famous blue turf

BSU they first went to an auditorium in the Student Union Building along with several other Caldwell schools, and took part in science experiments by developing theories for outcomes of the experiments, and then see if their theories were correct. Then they toured the BSU campus walking from the SUB to the Rec Center. From there they walked over to Bronco stadium/oops! Albertsons Stadium :) On the way to lunch back at the SUB (Boise River Cafe) they walked by some student housing dorms. After lunch they played games on the lawn outside the SUB
