Celebrating Cinco De Mayo with Music and Dance

Sacajawea staff and students were treated to music, dance, and even some interesting trivia about Mexico on Tuesday thanks to Mariachi Sol de Acapulco. Each time a new song was introduced Andrea Schofield, the trumpet player, would share which state in Mexico it originated from and some interesting information about that state. Mariachi Sol de Acapulco has been coming to Sac each year since the current 5th graders were in kindergarten.  In fact they have a special connection to Sac because two of the performers, Leo and Daniela, are former Sacajawea students.  All in all it was a wonderful time that had students and teachers dancing, clapping, and having fun.
