Sacajawea's Reading Night!!!!

On Tuesday, March 5, Sacajawea held its annual Reading Night.  Everyone enjoyed listening to stories, playing games, drinking cocoa, eating cookies, and getting free books all in our pajamas! We even had Cat in the Hat as a special visitor. Thanks to Book It Forward for attending and giving away over 300 books.  Also, thank you to Caldwell Public Library for coming and playing reading games with the kids.  Finally, thank you to the staff, Caldwell High students who came to help, and to everyone that attended for making this a successful night.  It is fun to see families reading and playing games together!

La noche de lectura de Sacajawea!!!! 

el martes 5 de marzo, Sacajawea celebró su noche de lectura anual. Todos disfrutaron escuchando historias, jugando, bebiendo chocolate caliente, comiendo galletas, y consiguiendo libros gratis en nuestras pijamas! Incluso tuvimos a “Cat in the Hat” como un visitante especial. Gracias a Book It Forward por asistir y regalar más de 300 libros. También, gracias a la biblioteca pública Caldwell por venir y jugar juegos de lectura con los niños. Por último, gracias al personal, los estudiantes de Caldwell High que ayudaron, y a todos por atender y hacer esto una noche exitosa. ¡Es divertido mirar a familias leyendo y jugando juntos!

Canyon Hill Community Garden - Growing Kids, Growing Food, Growing community --- ¡Cultivando niños,alimentos, y comunidad!

Please join us in kicking off our gardening season this March 16th for our 1st work day! The Canyon Hill Community Garden is meant to serve the families of Sacajawea and the Canyon Hill Community. The first work day will be March 16th, from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m at 903 N Michigan Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605. There will be opportunities for everyone to help put the garden together. Any family that joins us will be going home with their own seed starter kit!

Acompáñenos para comenzar la nueva temporada de jardinería este 16 de marzo en nuestro primer día de trabajo! El Jardín Comunitario de Canyon Hill está destinado a servir a las familias de Sacajawea y la Comunidad de Canyon Hill. El primer día de trabajo será el 16 de marzo, de 9:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. en 903 N Michigan Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605. Habrá oportunidades para que todos ayuden a trabajar en el jardín. ¡Cualquier familia que se una a nosotros se irá a casa con su propio kit de inicio de semillas!

More Dr. Seuss Week Pictures!

Here are some more pictures from Sacajawea's Dr. Seuss Week.  These are from Wednesday's Wacky Hair Day, Thursday's Wear Green Day, and Friday's Dress Like a Twin Day!  It was a fun week for all!

Crazy Socks and Wacky Hair at Sacajawea Elementary!

On Tuesday, people wore crazy socks to school.  Then on Wednesday they wore wacky hair styles.  Here are some fun pictures from these days.  Don't forget, tomorrow wear green to honor the book "Green Eggs and Ham." On Friday dress like a twin to go with the book "The Cat in the Hat!"

Sacajawea's Mustache Monday!

The students enjoyed Mustache Monday!  Tomorrow they will wear crazy socks to go with the Dr. Seuss book, Fox in Socks.  Also, don't forget Reading Night on Tuesday night from 6:00-7:30!  There will be sessions at 6:00 and 6:30pm.
